While we can pick up most of our core protection tree talents we sacrifice a lot of threat and potential by not taking Pursuit of Justice, Seal of Command. This is primarily a raid support build made to pick up the potentially powerful raid cooldowns Aura Mastery & Improved Lay on Hands. All in all you can be very flexible with your choice of glyphs. We generally don't advise that you spec or glyph out of mitigation since survivability is your primary responsibility though Glyph of Divine Plea can be flexed into a threat glyph like Glyph of Hammer of the Righteous, or Glyph of Judgement. We're also taking glyphs like Glyph of Judgement here, though you could easily fit in Glyph of Avenger's Shield instead. In the case that you are want to optimize for every encounter, we recommend you run two tanking specs, this normal one and a similar spec that picks up Seals of the Pure over Crusade.

It's worth to note that while this spec goes far into the retribution tree to pick up some very powerful talents, culminating in stacking out Crusade, phase 2 introduces enemy creature types that are not affected by Crusade. Ideally the best place to pick up these points are from Sanctity of Battle. If you need to take any of these, we suggest that you first siphon talents out of Reckoning and you can also find an additional point in Guarded by the Light, though you may not want to ignore this completely and keep it at 1 point. You may need to shuffle points around to pick up any of the support tools such as Judgements of the Just, Improved Devotion Aura, and Heart of the Crusader whose availability will greatly depend on your raid composition. This spec collects most of the threat heavy talents that we can take, we scale exceptionally well with % damage increases and these generally come out as very valuable for the point investment. Standard Protection Paladin Tank Talent Build Ultimately your spec will primarily be dictated by your raid composition or fight requirements and individual talents are actively swapped around depending on the general availability and needs of your raid. That said, it is worth noting that this also behaves as a threat talent with its first point since the debuff application can trigger seals to proc.
